Thank you for joining us in Sewickley on Saturday, May 11, 2024!
Mark your calendars for next year’s May Mart, scheduled for Saturday, May 10, 2025!
May Mart returned to Broad Street with its theme of “Keeping Sewickley Green.” Streets were closed to traffic from 9:00am to 2:00pm to make way for garden clubs selling flowers and plants. More than 70 vendors and community organizations sold food, garden wares, repurposed items, eco-friendly merchandise, and nature-themed gifts with Mother’s Day in mind. New this year: Entertainment! May Mart welcomed the Bell School of Irish Dance, a local school dedicated to promoting the Irish culture by offering a wide variety of Irish dance classes for both children and adults.
Please see the 2024 complete vendor list below.
May Mart is a rain or shine event that is free to the public.
A free children’s activity was offered, where children were able to make a bird feeder from recycled materials to take home, compliments of SCGC.
May Mart is a family-centered event. Additional children’s activities included
chalk art and face painting.
The SCGC Information Booth was available for vendor maps, answers to all your questions, and to purchase 2024 Sewickley Garden Tour tickets.
Coffee and Oram’s Cinnamon Rolls were for sale at the SCGC booth too, and sold out quickly!
New this year, we had a food court area with delicious hot breakfast and lunch items.
Picnic tables were available down Broad Street — perfect for relaxing and enjoying a meal!
While you visited, we hope you also visited the Sewickley Farmers Market, checked out the Rummage Sale at the Sewickley United Methodist Church on the corner of Broad and Thorn Streets, and perused the used garden books for sale outside the Sewickley Public Library!
